Position Overview
We are seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our expanding team. This role offers a dynamic blend of clinic-based care with structured, manageable hospital responsibilities.
- Full-time, permanent position
- Primary location: St. Augustine clinic + affiliated hospital
- Mix of outpatient cardiology and limited inpatient coverage
- Collaborative, team-based care model
Schedule & Call Structure
- Weekdays (Clinic): Monday–Friday outpatient schedule
- Weekend Call: Shared rotation with another APP
- Inpatient consults and rounding (Saturday & Sunday)
- Monday off following weekend call
- Weeknight Call:
- Remote coverage from 6 PM – 8 AM
- No in-person requirement
- Includes patient calls, coordination, and next-day handoff
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive cardiovascular care in the outpatient setting
- Evaluate patients, manage medications, and develop care plans
- Order and interpret diagnostic testing (EKGs, imaging, labs, etc.)
- Collaborate closely with cardiologists across subspecialties
- Participate in inpatient consults, rounding, and follow-up care
- Coordinate care across clinic and hospital settings
- Ensure accurate documentation and high-quality, patient-centered care
Qualifications
- Board-certified Nurse Practitioner (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA-C)
- Active, unrestricted Florida license (or ability to obtain)
- Cardiology experience preferred, but not required
- Open to new graduates with strong interest in cardiology
- Solid understanding of clinical workflows, documentation, and patient care standards
- Strong communication skills and team-oriented mindset
