Bay Area Cardiology Associates, a partner practice of Cardiovascular Associates of America (CVAUSA), is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our growing cardiovascular team serving the Greater Tampa Bay area.
This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced APPs and motivated providers looking to transition into cardiology. APPs here work closely with Cardiologists and fellow Advanced Practice Providers across both clinic and hospital settings, creating a collaborative environment with strong mentorship, hands-on experience, and a great mix of responsibilities — no monotony.
Whether you enjoy inpatient care, outpatient continuity, or a combination of both, this role offers the chance to build a strong long-term foundation within cardiovascular medicine while working alongside a supportive, team-oriented group.
Job Details
- Full-time Advanced Practice Provider position
- Locations include Brandon, Riverview, Sun City Center, Tampa, and local hospitals
- Monday through Friday schedule with shared weekend rotation approximately once per month
- Mix of outpatient clinic and inpatient hospital responsibilities
- Manage office-based cardiology patients and follow-up care
- Participate in hospital consults and rounding alongside Cardiologists and APP team
- Order and interpret cardiovascular diagnostic testing and procedures
- Manage medications, treatment plans, and specialty referrals
- Assist with stress test supervision, histories, documentation, and patient education
- Collaborative APP and physician environment with strong day-to-day support
- Exposure to a broad range of cardiovascular conditions and patient populations

Qualifications
- Board Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C)
- Active Florida license or ability to obtain
- Cardiology experience preferred, but not required
- New graduate Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants encouraged to apply
- Providers interested in transitioning into cardiology are welcome
