Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Cardiovascular Technologist or EKG Technologist to join our cardiac imaging team in Scottsdale, AZ. In this role, you will work closely with cardiologists and nuclear medicine physicians to assist in the preparation, execution, and monitoring of cardiac Positron Emission Tomography / Computed Tomography (PET/CT) myocardial perfusion imaging studies. The ideal candidate brings strong cardiovascular assessment skills, excellent patient communication, and a commitment to safety and quality in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and execution of cardiac PET/CT myocardial perfusion studies, including patient monitoring during pharmacologic and exercise stress protocols
  • Perform 12-lead EKG acquisition, interpretation of rhythm strips, and continuous cardiac monitoring throughout stress and imaging procedures
  • Obtain and document baseline vital signs including blood pressure, heart rate, oxygen saturation, and symptom assessment prior to, during, and following each study
  • Establish and maintain peripheral IV access for radiotracer and pharmacologic stress agent administration
  • Assist with patient preparation and positioning for PET/CT image acquisition in coordination with the nuclear medicine and imaging team
  • Recognize and respond to adverse patient events during stress testing, including arrhythmias, hemodynamic changes, and allergic reactions
  • Accurately complete all required procedural documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked procedure room in compliance with infection control and safety standards
  • Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures, address concerns, and promote comfort throughout the visit
  • Collaborate with cardiologists, imaging technologists, and clinical staff to ensure seamless patient throughput and study quality
Qualifications & Requirements
Required:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in cardiovascular technology, allied health, or related field preferred
  • Current certification as a Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT) or EKG/Cardiac Monitoring Technician; RCIS, CCT, or CET credential preferred
  • Minimum 1–2 years of clinical experience in cardiovascular testing, cardiac stress testing, or EKG/monitoring in a hospital, cardiology office, or imaging center setting
  • Demonstrated competency in 12-lead EKG acquisition and cardiac rhythm interpretation
  • Experience with or willingness to train in pharmacologic stress testing protocols
  • Current BLS/CPR certification (AHA) required
  • Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and common cardiovascular conditions
  • Ability to remain calm and act decisively in high-pressure or emergency clinical situations
Preferred:
  • Prior experience in a cardiac nuclear imaging, PET/CT, or nuclear stress testing environment
  • Proficiency with EMR systems (NextGen, Athena, or equivalent)
  • Spanish language proficiency a plus

  • Full-time position; Monday through Friday schedule — no nights, weekends, or on-call required
