Inpatient Cardiology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Citrus Cardiology Consultants is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its hospital-based cardiology team in Crystal River, Florida.

This is a 100% inpatient position with a seven-days-on, seven-days-off daytime schedule and no outpatient clinic responsibilities. The APP will work closely with attending cardiologists while caring for patients with a broad range of cardiovascular conditions.

Experienced providers and new graduates with a strong interest in cardiology are encouraged to apply. Training, mentorship, and a supportive onboarding process are provided.

Responsibilities

• Round on hospitalized cardiovascular patients

• Perform inpatient consultations and follow-up evaluations

• Evaluate and manage acute and chronic cardiac conditions

• Review EKGs, laboratory results, imaging, and diagnostic studies

• Develop treatment plans in collaboration with attending cardiologists

• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, medications, and care plans

• Coordinate care with the hospital team

• Complete accurate and timely EMR documentation

Qualifications

• Board-certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

• Active Florida license or eligibility to obtain one

• Cardiology, hospital, or acute care experience preferred but not required

• New graduate NPs and PAs are welcome

• Strong communication and collaboration skills

• Interest in cardiovascular medicine
