Inpatient Cardiology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Citrus Cardiology Consultants is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its hospital-based cardiology team in Crystal River, Florida.
This is a 100% inpatient position with a seven-days-on, seven-days-off daytime schedule and no outpatient clinic responsibilities. The APP will work closely with attending cardiologists while caring for patients with a broad range of cardiovascular conditions.
Experienced providers and new graduates with a strong interest in cardiology are encouraged to apply. Training, mentorship, and a supportive onboarding process are provided.
Responsibilities
Round on hospitalized cardiovascular patients
Perform inpatient consultations and follow-up evaluations
Evaluate and manage acute and chronic cardiac conditions
Review EKGs, laboratory results, imaging, and diagnostic studies
Develop treatment plans in collaboration with attending cardiologists
Educate patients and families about diagnoses, medications, and care plans
Coordinate care with the hospital team
Complete accurate and timely EMR documentation
Qualifications
Board-certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
Active Florida license or eligibility to obtain one
Cardiology, hospital, or acute care experience preferred but not required
New graduate NPs and PAs are welcome
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Interest in cardiovascular medicine
