Cardiology Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA)

Position Overview

A growing, physician-led cardiovascular practice is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its cardiology team.

This opportunity offers a combination of inpatient and outpatient responsibilities, allowing the incoming APP to participate in the evaluation, treatment, and ongoing management of patients with a broad range of cardiovascular conditions. The APP will work closely with cardiologists, fellow advanced practice providers, nurses, medical assistants, and administrative staff to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Evaluate and manage patients with acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions

  • Conduct new patient consultations and established patient follow-up visits

  • Participate in inpatient rounding and hospital-based cardiovascular care

  • Develop treatment plans in collaboration with the cardiologists

  • Order and review laboratory studies, cardiac imaging, and diagnostic testing

  • Review and interpret ECGs, ambulatory monitors, and other cardiovascular studies

  • Manage cardiovascular medications and monitor patient response to treatment

  • Provide patient education regarding diagnoses, medications, procedures, and lifestyle modifications

  • Coordinate care with physicians, specialists, and other members of the clinical team

  • Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working across both hospital and outpatient clinic settings and will value collaboration, continuity of care, and long-term patient relationships.

Qualifications

  • Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

  • Current national board certification

  • Eligible for state licensure and prescriptive authority

  • Cardiology or relevant acute care experience preferred

  • Strong clinical judgment and communication skills

  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary care team
