Position Overview
The Data Analyst will support NovoCardia's value-based care analytics team by producing reports, maintaining dashboards, and performing routine analyses to monitor performance across our portfolio of risk-based contracts. This position will work closely with the Senior Data Analyst and Senior Director of Medical Economics to ensure timely and accurate analytics delivery. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills and a basic understanding of healthcare data, with a willingness to learn and grow in the value-based care domain.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and update recurring reports and dashboards for operational and contract performance monitoring
Execute routine data pulls and analyses based on established methodologies
Perform data validation and quality checks on incoming data sources
Support the creation and distribution of standard reports for internal and external stakeholders
Assist with ad-hoc analysis requests from business stakeholders
Document processes and procedures for recurring analytics tasks
Help identify opportunities for process improvement and automation
Collaborate with data engineering partners to troubleshoot data issues
Provide analytics support for operational teams implementing value-based care programs
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in analytics, statistics, mathematics, computer science, or a related field
2+ years of experience in data analysis or business intelligence
Proficiency in SQL and at least one business intelligence tool (Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
Experience working with structured data and relational databases
Strong attention to detail and commitment to data quality
Basic understanding of data visualization principles and best practices
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Good communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with healthcare data, particularly claims or electronic health record data
Familiarity with medical coding systems (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS)
Basic understanding of value-based care concepts and healthcare quality metrics
Experience with Snowflake or other cloud-based data warehousing platforms
Knowledge of data quality methodologies and validation techniques
Experience with Python, R, or other programming languages
Exposure to healthcare analytics or population health management
