The Cardiovascular Institute of Central Florida (CVI), a partner practice of Cardiovascular Associates of America (CVAUSA), is hiring a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Ocala.
Choose a full-time position providing outpatient and inpatient cardiovascular care or a PRN opportunity supporting occasional inpatient weekend coverage. New graduates interested in cardiology are welcome to apply for the full-time role.
Position Options
Full-Time: Monday–Friday, combining clinic visits and hospital care, with approximately one weekend per month
PRN: Occasional weekends providing inpatient cardiology coverage
What You’ll Do
Evaluate and manage patients with acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions
Participate in hospital rounding, consultations, and follow-up care
See patients in the outpatient clinic as part of the full-time position
Order and interpret cardiovascular testing
Work closely with cardiologists and fellow APPs to develop treatment plans
Provide patient education and complete timely clinical documentation
What We’re Looking For
Board-certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
Active Florida license or eligibility to obtain one
Strong clinical judgment, communication, and collaboration skills
Interest in continued learning and delivering quality cardiovascular care
Cardiology experience preferred, though not required for the full-time position
